The front is done. New emblem, blacked out grill, and Euro plate. On the back I'll change the emblem and remove the rest of the badging. New centercaps with badging are on their way too. Then I'll probly put a light tint on the windows and call it a day.
I honestly can't say that I like it better, but I like that it's different. I hate having a car that looks like every else's. Mine should be special.

How are you gonna do the emblem on the steering wheel?

I love this! Good change! Especially taking the time to do all the emblems (wheel caps, etc.).
Now, if you do the steering wheel emblem, I will be really impressed.
Trust me, I would peer through your windows to check.

How did you get a Euro - Ohio plate?

Also interested, because wat?

Not going to. Requires a 800 dollar Airbag assembly to do it right. I had to do some custom fabrication to avoid the cost of a whole new grill, but I don't think I'm comfortable doing that with an airbag. Not worth it when the whole nav screen flashes a huge Buick symbol when you start the car anyway, lol.

Who are you trying to fool ?

Ordered it from Germany!
Would recommend, only took a couple weeks. They are the actual supplier for real license plates in Europe if you can believe their website.
We'll see if I get ticketed.

Lol, Buick should offer an Opel badged edition, it'd be so easy for them to do, haha.

It's a handsome car either way. Did you dip the grille?

Well, I guess that makes sense. But if you know what you are doing you can modify the nav software to flash an Opel logo. That shouldnt be expensive, it may be time consuming though

I approve!

No I put vinyl on it.

Thankfully i don't need front plates here.

I'd think you'd be less likely to be ticketed with no plate. Euro plate is instantly out of place versus no plate. I run no front plate and it makes all the difference in the world.

Get in collision with front end/rear end, have body shop order correct Opel parts, BOOM! Airbag and grille and emblems mostly taken care of!

Looks really good.
I like the horizontal slats over vertical though.
Have you tried looking for gel inserts to overlay on the steering wheel?

Not sure if worth it...

That's an idea!

That's awesome.
If I ever buy a Saturn/Buick that has a European equivalent, I'm so doing this.

Coming from someone who generally hates "euro style" and jdm modding, this actually looks great, probably because it looks like it would be driven by someone other than a neon flat brimmed cap wearing, mouth-breathing dubber. You've made it unique (at least stateside) and managed to retain the cars class, bravo!

See, I love this - if I came upon this car on the streets of Manhattan it would give me so much joy. Despite what you might think, there's not much here of automotive interest.

Good luck, that looks awesome.

No one. I just want to be able to drive on the other side of the road.

Nice choice of mods - very clean. I always like to confuse and misdirect on badging, hence the old classic "Vanagon GTI" custom emblem I once made.
